On September 17th, AMEP was hosted by TRUMPF North America for the our biannual meeting, where over 40 manufacturing employers, educators, and community partners came together to strengthen our regional workforce.
Highlights included a keynote from TRUMPF’s Stefan Fickenscher, a Job Quality panel on retention and workforce development, and inspiring updates from MakerspaceCT, ReadyCT, CT State Tunxis, and Connstep on programs and resources supporting manufacturing.
Special thanks to the TRUMPF team and all who made this event a success!

On August 14th, 2025 from 3 to 6 p.m., manufacturers, educators, and industry partners gathered for an afternoon of networking at Gastropark in West Hartford.
The event inspired many conversations about potential collaborations among the diverse manufacturers in our region.
Although their final products vary, ranging from meat products to aerospace parts and plastic components, CT manufacturers face similar challenges and opportunities for growth. These include hiring and retaining skilled employees and connecting with the right resources to support their ongoing development.
